Italian Lesson 19 – How to Form Plural Nouns

Forming plural nouns in Italian involves memorizing a few rules.  It is not as simple as English, for the most part, where you just add an “s” to the end of the noun. This section also deals with possessive adjectives.

Here are the basic rules in Italian when it comes to forming the plural.

Nouns that end in:

a – the “a” changes to an “e”

o – the “o” changes to an “i”

e – the “e” changes to an “i”

Italian Lesson 20 – The Verb Fare – to do or to make

In a previous lesson we talked about the verbs “avere” and “essere” as being the most important verbs to master in Italian.  The next most important verb that you should memorize is the verb “fare”, which means to do or to make.

Here is the conjugation of fare in the present tense:

io faccio

tu fai

lui / lei / Lei fa

noi facciamo

voi fate

loro / Loro fanno
